What I can do in one hour

Hello fellow Reditors TL:DR Small idea to improve getting new customers into my little freelance business. I’m currently sitting in my living room at 01.00 am, trying not to wake up my girlfriend by all this clicking on my keyboard. I forgot my glasses in our bedroom and there is no way back there without risking waking her up. So sorry for my poor English and mistypes. So… January is always a slow month for me. In December i sell christmas trees online and a lot of my energy goes to that. Last year when I got to January I had a whole month doing nothing… maybe a single customer in my freelance business, but that was it. This year i got a few more good customers i January and i got motivated to get more into my freelancing. Usually i do smaller websites in WordPress or static, but I got a lot of different skills related to online marketing, graphic design and web development. The last couple of weeks i’ve been making a small website showing my cases. This has been requested by some of my customers, so they can refer me. The thing is, i’m so tired of all these portfolio/case/small agency websites filling the market and they never tell what they actually do. I notice some of my customers have some more work that i could easily do. For an example make a new cover photo for Facebook, design their next newsletter, set up Google Analytics and so on. **So finally to my idea:** I want to make my freelance-website a bit different. It should be a page listing some of the things I can help people with, within an hour. Some kind of personal Fiverr, UpWork, Freelancer.com or whatever site like that. It could be: – Setting up Google Analytics – Make a SEO report of your website – Optimize your website speed – Make a user test of your website – Make x new cover graphics for Facebook or other social media – Design your next newsletter – Setup a Facebook Pixel for tracking on your website … etc…etc. The idea is then that people pay me for whatever task and put in their credit card information at the time of the order. I only charge the money when the task is done and the customer is happy. Then i got the customer in my database and hopefully it will lead to more and longer job contracts. I already got some visitors on my website everyday from referrals and i think it’s a good way to get people started with me as their next freelancer. They can try me out for an hour or two. If I deliver a good quality of work and they are satisfied, then they will hopefully use me later on. My ambition is to be a full time freelancer when i’m done with my study next January. So this year is about getting some new people as customers or in my network. **Now to you clever folks** Will this improve my freelance business? Do you have a good idea for improving the “*1 hour concept*”? Best Regards AsgerFound malicious code on a friend’s site today, need recommendations for security

I’m looking for something that can produce ongoing audits of their site, rollback some code injection, and that’s user-friendly enough for non-technical people to handle. It’s a WordPress site and the vulnerability exploited seems to be [a rather old one](http://ift.tt/1KetrsD). I don’t really have the expertise to keep them safe from further incursion, and I’m concerned because from the files I’ve seen altered and inserted into the site, someone has had access as recently as a few days ago. I’ve changed all of the passwords and set plug-ins to update automatically, but I’d love to give them a turn-key solution to keep their site safe going forward. Unfortunately, the popular Sucuri plug-in did not catch this injection and it was only through some careful googling today that I did… Any ideas?
